It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a blessed and tummy filling Thanksgiving with friends and family. I hope you all survived Black Friday if you chose to go out in the crazy (I slept in :) ) and most of all, I hope you were able to make some amazing memories as the holiday season begins. Now, if you all are like me, you stocked up on some fabric this weekend. I didn't make it out with the early crowds, but I hit before noon, so I have some great Christmas fabrics and I hope to inspire you to get going on your holiday sewing! Now, you know with Thanksgiving coming so late, we are already on Dec 2nd! I mean, thats only 23 days until Christmas. So, you have to get to sewing! Let's start with today's inspiration.

I was picked to test a wonderful pattern that just recently came out from Foo Foo Threads. If you haven't checked out Jocelyn's patterns - then you must. She has some of the most beautiful creations. This is the link to her Etsy store https://www.etsy.com/shop/FooFooThreads and this is the link to her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/FooFoo-Threads-Childrens-Sewing-Patterns/337392599683426. The pattern that I tested was the new pettiskirt pattern. Now, the intent of the pattern is to be pretty and frilly. I mean look how gorgeous this is

But, I wanted to try something different that was fun and funky - so I made mine out of knits. Good thing about knit - no fraying! This skirt has 3 different options - lace, tulle, or ruched ruffles. I did the ruched ruffles. And of course, the great thing is I got to break out the first Christmas shirt of the season to go with it! So grab a cup of Christmas cheer and get your Charlie Brown Dance ready - I present my Foo Foo Threads Pettiskirt paired with a Snoopy shirt from Old Navy.

You can find this pattern to purchase here https://www.etsy.com/listing/108704851/salebuy-2-get-1-freeinstant-download-pdf?ref=shop_home_active. You buy 2 patterns and get 1 free! And trust me, I know when you go look at them you will want AT LEAST 3.

I can't wait to see what you guys are going to create this Christmas. Share your outfits, any homemade gift ideas or recipes. I would love to hear them!

We have our first orthodontist appointment tomorrow for her. She is getting her impressions done. Then, next week, we will be getting two brackets on her back two teeth and she will be wearing head gear at night for six months to turn her back molars straight. Once thats done, she will be getting full braces. Wish me luck. I had braces as an adult and I know how they hurt! Next Tuesday maybe a soup and Icee night.

See you tomorrow with another Christmas inspiration!
