Channeling Chanel - A special Friday edition

This outfit was so amazing, it was deserving of a Friday post. I was privileged to pattern test the most recent release from Heidi and Finn Patterns http://www.etsy.com/shop/heidiandfinn. This jacket is some serious Coco - Coco Chanel that is. http://www.etsy.com/listing/168965857/new-coco-jacket-pattern-and-tutorial-6?ref=shop_home_feat

It comes in a size 6-12 and just check out the charm! Your princess will cause all kinds of drama in this sophisticated jacket.

So, channel your inner Chanel and grab this pattern and knock it out this weekend. It is a fully lined jacket, but it isn't a difficult sew. It doesn't have any closures, so that should appeal to the zipper/button phobes, and you can do so much just by your fabric choices.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Can you believe Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away. I am so ready to decorate for Christmas, but I am restraining myself. AND progress reports come out Monday for us so that means we are halfway through the 9 weeks. Time flies!! Hope to see you next time!

  2. In the early days of embroidery, finishing a project would take a very long time because of the meticulous nature of the craft. Usually, hours would pass before you see a recognizable pattern coming alive on your fabric, and sometimes it would take even days to finish an entire embroidery project. Fortunately, that is no longer the case. Thanks to technology, there is now a much faster and less tedious way of embroidering your clothing and linen - embroidery machines. find out more
